If it’s any consolation, because my battery is failing, my cardiologist is swapping my loop recorder out for one made by Medtronic, and the reviews for their app are as bad or worse than the ones here for MyMerlin! Apparently, medical device companies need to upgrade their app development people! Otherwise - at least for me and my setup - the app does what it’s supposed to. And they should offer more options for the Symptoms list. I agree that the start-up sound on the updated app is irritating and should be made optional. (I also had none of the issues of dropped Bluetooth pairing and similar problems that so many reviewers mentioned.) When I traded up to an iPhone 12, all those connection issues disappeared. ![]() ![]() In the morning I would hold my phone near my chest, and the info would transfer. With my iPhone 8, I had occasional connection issues where the loop recorder was unable to get the info to the app. Reading all the bad reviews has been enlightening! I’ve had my loop recorder (and MyMerlin app) for a little over 2 years.
